If you do the math, this means they have spent at least £1,000 with you over time…and because the holiday costs you £49, you are effectively giving them an incredible loyalty gift which represents just less than 10% of what they have spent with you.
In other words, if the customer has spent let’s say, £1,000 with you over time…& the holiday gift you’re giving them costs you £49, it’s essentially equivalent to a 10% discount.
So you have turned a lame 10% discount into a jaw dropping free holiday!
Don’t take these “expenditure figures” too literally – you may choose to give a stamp on loyalty cards for every £25 spent in a single transaction – & therefore a customer needs to fill 4 Loyalty Cards to get the free holiday – it’s entirely your call.
But one thing’s for sure, this incredible reward just goes to show that incentive-based marketing can certainly stimulate “repetitive purchasing & loyalty.”
Because once a customer is on his or her way to getting a FREE 4 DAY HOLIDAY, it’s highly unlikely they’ll be going to any other bar for some time!!
